2012 Ford Edge EcoBoost Receives EPA Rating of 30 MPG Highway

The 2012 Ford Edge crossover, which is the latest vehicle in the Ford lineup to receive the company’s advanced EcoBoost 2.0-liter engine, has been EPA-certified to deliver 30 mpg on the highway. Here at Mel Hambelton we are proud to offer the outstanding 2012 Ford Edge in Wichita KS.
The Ford Edge 30/21 city/highway EPA rating surpasses all SUVs its size or larger. A few smaller-size vehicles such as the Ford Escape Hybrid are the only competitive utilities that offer higher highway fuel economy than Edge with EcoBoost. The new EcoBoost engine, which combines gasoline direct injection and turbocharging with smaller overall displacement, delivers the power of a normally aspirated V6, yet delivers four-cylinder fuel efficiency.
The EcoBoost engine is an option for Ford vehicles such as the Taurus SHO and Flex, which lead the Ford lineup for car and utility conquesting. Popular F-150 pickup trucks now offer an EcoBoost option, as well as the 2012 Ford Explorer, which received a 20/28 mpg EPA rating.
With the addition of the 2012 Edge, the Ford showroom now offers customers a choice among 13 model/powertrain variations that deliver an EPA fuel economy rating of 30 mpg or more.
